- Have health problems due to pre-birth violence
- Cry a lot

- Be slow to develop motor skills, e.g. slow to speak, crawl/walk or,
regress once those skills are learned
- Be emotionally distanced from you if you are often not available
- Be poor eaters
- Have difficulty sleeping or have nightmares
- Develop insecurities and become withdrawn or manifest disruptive behaviour
- Be very clingy and not want to be left
- Be afraid of your partner or men in general
- Have disruptive behaviour, such as excessive temper tantrums or be
aggressive with you or their friends or siblings
- Be easily startled, intimidated and frightened
- Lack emotion in an attempt to shut out what is happening within the
house
- Wet the bed
- Try to stop the abuse
