- Tell them not to get involved in any argument or fights between you
and the perpetrator.
- Make sure they know how to get out of the house and have somewhere
safe to go.
- Make sure they know how to call for help.
- Teach them how to contact the police and how to give full and accurate
information about your name, address and telephone number.
- Have a password you can use to indicate to them if there is a problem
