| Need help now? - what to do in an emergancy | |
|
There is no easy way of stating this and it is important to remember: If you are in an emergency situation, dial 999 and ask for the police.
If you have sustained injuries request an ambulance also |
|
|
If you want to talk to someone in confidence for support or information
you can contact us on 01756 794400 but we are not an emergency service
and our office is not manned 24hours. The National Domestic Violence Helpline:
0808 2000 247 (free 24 hour service) will be able to give you information
and help if you need information day or night. Also www.womensaid.org.uk
can give you additional information, advise and support.
If you are unable to get away see our Personal Safety Plan to help minimise your injuries. If you are able to get away see our Preparing to Leave .Items to take with you When you are no longer in a dangerous situation it may be useful for
you to return to this site so you can look at making your own plans and
getting yourself prepared for your safer future. |
