| The purpose of the website..... | |
|
This website is designed to raise the awareness of domestic
abuse, the issues and problems that surround it and offer you some guidance
on how to remain safe. If you are not experiencing domestic abuse, but
you know someone who is, this information may help you to help them.
Although our website refers mainly to women experiencing domestic abuse, much of the information contained within, has a relevance for men experiencing domestic abuse and it is worth browsing through the whole site to help you to gain more information and understand how we and other agencies can help you. The difference between women as victims and men as victims is that the abuse against women by their males partners is by far the most dangerous and the harassment that ensues when the relationship ends is also more dangerous and the woman is at significant risk and in fear. Although our website may contain a lot of information it should not be taken as a fixed course of action. Please do not feel weighed down or frightened by it but feel free to explore the relevant links. |

| The information
contained within this site was researched and collated by the staff, volunteers
and more importantly, people we have been able to help to move on from domestic
abuse and the related problems. We can help you to find your own track at your own pace and hope that this is part of the beginning of a safe future for you and your children. Always remember you do not need to be alone and the domestic abuse is not your fault |
